American Sign Language Services:

Children and adults with special needs often experience frustration when communication becomes difficult. This frustration manifests itself in the form of temper tantrums, aggression, depression and other socially unacceptable behaviors. Sign language reduces frustration by providing a way to expressively communicate in situations where verbal communication may not be successful. Sign language breaks down communication barriers for children and adults with various disabilities and needs.

Embrace Life has providers who have skills in sign language to communicate with members who are Deaf or non-verbal. These providers are also eager to teach all members basic sign language to help improve communication and to assist with socializing with their peers who depend on it.

Embrace Life is a Deaf friendly agency that understand the needs of members who use ASL. Some of Embrace Life’s management team are fluent in sign language, and for those who are not, interpreting services are used on an as-needed basis.
