Day Programs For Adults

Day Program care is a planned program of activities designed to promote well-being through social and health-related services. Day program centers operate during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, in a safe, supportive, and cheerful environment. Some centers offer Respite services in the evenings and on weekends.

Day Program service centers provide a coordinated program of professional and compassionate services for members in a community-based group setting. Services are designed to provide social and some health services to adults who need supervised care in a safe place outside the home during the day. They also deserve qualified caregivers to provide the services they needs.

Although each facility may differ in terms of features, the following are generally offered by most adult day centers:

Social activities — interaction with other participants in planned activities appropriate for their conditions

Meals and snacks — members need to bring their breakfast and lunch. Snacks need to be brought if needed for medication, or for any other instructions, requested by the responsible parties for those with special dietary needs.. We also provide free basic snacks and drinks occasionally.

Personal care — we help with toileting, grooming, eating and other personal activities of daily living

Therapeutic activities — exercise and mental interaction for all participants.

In general, there are three (3) types of day centers:

Social (which provides Independent Living Skills, recreation and some health-related services)

Medical/health (which provides social activities as well as more intensive health and therapeutic services)

Specialized (which provide services only to specific care recipients, such as those with special need attention developmental disabilities.)

Our first and original Embrace Life Day Program is located at Alma School Rd and Elliot Ave in Chandler. The Embrace Life Day program is proud to provide a unique setting that is personalized to the members who attend there.  The day program operates from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and some holidays. The Embrace Life Day Program’s goals are to incorporate the members’ choices into the activities that are planned every day. Every member is unique in their backgrounds, cultures, interests and preferences and that is always considered when planning activities.

Embrace Life always welcomes feedback and suggestions from guardians, family, support coordinators and therapists to develop and deliver the services that are expected from the program. Transportation, total medical care and support of various degrees of behavior challenges are also provided if needed.  Please click here to reach out to our team for more information.

Embrace Life also operates a Children’s Day Program in the same building plaza as the Embrace Life Day Program. Embrace Life Children After School Program operates from 11am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and some holidays. Weekends for Respite at this location are also available if you do not have a respite provider or do not want a provider to come into your home. We provide transportation from school to the program. The Children’s Day Program can accommodate members who need total medical care and have various degrees of behavior challenges.

Transportation services are available as a standalone service if needed. Please click here to reach out to our team for more information.
