Day Program care is a planned program of activities designed to promote well-being through social and health-related services. Day program centers operate during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, in a safe, supportive, and cheerful environment. Some centers offer Respite services in the evenings and on weekends.
Day Program service centers provide a coordinated program of professional and compassionate services for members in a community-based group setting. Services are designed to provide social and some health services to adults who need supervised care in a safe place outside the home during the day. They also deserve qualified caregivers to provide the services they needs.
Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion: Building a Truly Inclusive Embrace Life Day Program
Within any day program, both diversity and inclusion are essential for fostering a thriving and innovative environment at Embrace Life. While these terms are often used together, they represent distinct but complementary goals. Embrace Life would like to emphasize the definitions of diversity and inclusion, and how our team can learn from each other and recognize, the diverse cultural environments of the members we support. We are honored and humbled to serve several sacred reservations and rural communities.
Diversity: The "Who" of the Embrace Life Day Program
Diversity refers to the presence of differences within a team at the Day Program. It encompasses a range of characteristics and experiences, including race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and more. Building a diverse workforce brings a wider array of perspectives, which can lead to more innovative solutions and better problem-solving. At Embrace Life, we recognize that diversity without inclusion is not enough to create a healthy day program environment.
Inclusion: The "How" of Creating Belonging at the Embrace Life Day Program
Inclusion is about creating an environment where all members and employees feel valued, respected, and supported. It means going beyond representation to ensure that everyone's contributions are genuinely encouraged and recognized. An inclusive program is a place where people feel they belong, where their voices are heard, and where differences are embraced rather than tolerated. Embrace Life values inclusion and empowers diverse teams to work cohesively, harnessing their varied perspectives to achieve common goals.

In general, there are three (3) types of day centers:
Social (which provides Independent Living Skills, recreation and some health-related services)
